R.I.P. Bones. Best dog/friend I’ve ever known. Protector of babies, whether they were baby people, kittens, chicks or puppies. Didn’t matter. He loved them.

It thundered non stop without a breath while we dug. It poured rain as we laid him to rest and covered him. When we were done it gave us a rainbow.

So sorry for your loss.

From the pictures he looks like he made it to old age. What a sweet creature.

If it helps, consider the pain you feel as a repayment of the love debt we all owe our dogs.

Thank you. It’s true he was old and had a great life. It stings a bit as his mind and senses were as sharp as ever.

It was odd not having to trip over him this morning as I got out of bed.
