Wife and I are going to her parents for the day to hang out at their farm. Her mom was over today talking about their investments and how they have a million dollars or so invested with Scotia bank (Canada) and how it hasn’t done anything in the last 5yrs and all they do is pay out hefty fees.

Little did I know, my wife told her mom I had some corn a while ago. Well, My MIL brought up how they were watching the news the other night and saw that bitcoin had reached an all time high and that her husband said that maybe they should throw $100k into it and see what happens.

While I was talking about it briefly with the MIL today, you could see her eyes lighting up and at the same time her brain smoking from working overtime trying to understand just what the hell I was actually saying 😂

She said that I need to have a serious talk with her husband tomorrow

So now I have this opportunity to hopefully orangepill my FIL.

Wish me luck! So fuckin stoked for this! 🤙🏼

Well guys n gals, bad news. Before we left to go to the in-laws today, my wife’s mom text her and said he’s not interested in it. We showed up and he wasn’t even there when we got there. So I asked the MIL, why the sudden change? She said he’s got a lot on his plate right now and that he doesn’t think he’ll see any profits in the next 5-10yrs and that he thinks it’s too late. So I didn’t even push back (even though my brain was ready to unleash) and said that I won’t mention a word about it. If he’s interested in the future, I’ll let him bring it up.

I was hoping to have better news for you all, and was having a great morning until the wife broke the news to me. Bummer day 😔

The nice thing though, the MIL is all for it, she’s just not in control of the finances. So maybe there’s still some hope after all.
