well, i mute it, so there's that

WoT calculations need to include muting because it's kinda stronger than follow - follow is "i am interested in reading" where mute is "this user is abusive (probably)" they should at least have equal significance but i'm inclined to suggest that mutes should weigh heavier than follows

I agree. However, there is the problem that there are public mutes and reports, but also private mutes, so the data is alway incomplete, and requires assumptions on how to handle/compare different kinds.

you gotta work with what you got though

i kinda like the whole thing of naming who i follow and mute publicly because that's my opinion and i like to express my opinion

i understand that some people may want to hide their connections to others but then they have hidden things and then make public responses to their notes 🤷‍♂️

the game theory and threat modelling of most people is not exactly logical, it seems to me

i might prefer to hide my follows and not interact publicly but mutes, oh yeah, always, always happy to say "fuck that person"
