Not sure where you're from, but I think you don't know enough in that case. This party is extremely right-wing and antidemocratic.

Even other far right parties in the EU refuse to work with them. They are the worst threat to the stability of this country since Hitler's NSDAP.

I don't understand why USA doesn't do the same and ban the republican party - then we wouldn't be in the current mess.

Björn Höcke arguably is a fascist, but parties are full of all sorts of unpalatables, so I'll reserve my sense of outrage for something truly shocking.

Like a country shutting down its last nuclear power plants during a sudden energy crisis caused by a war.

Yeah I don't know much in detail about AfD but:

- trying to ban the 2nd most popular party in the name of democracy is a sick joke. are these people completely insane?

- the term "fascism" is meaningless in common usage. In particular it gets attached to anyone "right wing" while in fact fascism is literally socialism. eg, you know, "National Socialism.."

- if anything is "fascist" it is the legal persecution of CJ Hopkins and others by the german state, for criticising their policies. People have literally been arrested for mocking politicians!
