Early GrapheneOS thoughts.

it is the Linux of mobile OS, well, literally and as an experience.

It doesn't "just work" out of the box, but It does put you in control of your phone in a way that regular android doesn't.

Sandboxed Google Play Services is genius. So far, I'm loving what I seeing.

I don't think it's for everyone though, especially the convenience hungry, "apple types", but for tinkerers and privacy focussed enthusiasts. its awesome.

Good Morning 🌞

How long have you been daily driving it? Are you coming from iOS or stock Android?

I'm a few weeks in. From Android. I haven't used the Google Play services. All apps through Obtainium or web apps.

iOS, I've used stock Android a lot in the past though.

only been a little more than a couple of days running graphene.

Cool cool. Give it time :)

Yes, what are the pain points? We wanna help.

When using the web installer, i had trouble downloading the OS, the reason it couldn't download the OS was that I did not have enough space on my computer. The error message didn't indicate that, I had to figure it out for myself.

Other than that, and apart from the very very rare stutters and an app(heavily reliant on Google Play Services) that didn't work, its been great, haven't had to touch an iPhone since.

That's great to hear! Which Pixel are you using GrapheneOS on?

Good morning! Thank you. Good to know.
