The one in Vermont is pretty chill
I would imagine you're pretty safe up there. Although I heard there's some weirdness in Maine and a Massachusetts mayor that doesn't even speak English.
It’s gotten worse but it’s not bad. The politics are terrible though and in many ways the state is going to hell.
Costco is chilling at least.
Seeing the difference from like pre covid is fairly staggering. I was in Florida for a few years and moved back up to the northeast last year and it's still pretty shocking. It was still worse in the south though. But yeah everywhere seems pretty flooded.
It's weird that the whitest places turn into YIMBY strongholds. Maybe it's not weird? I don't know.
It makes sense. In a state which was 98% white until 50 years ago and is ruled by gay boomer women, all the differences between races and cultures are purely theoretical. We haven’t had to directly experience what multiculturalism leads to. But we’re getting there.
The cold also keeps a lot of people away which is nice.
My appreciation for the cold has gone up exponentially since moving back.
Yeah I have a feeling there's a rude awakening coming for a lot of these "one race...the human race" folxx. It'll be interesting to watch.
