Now I have to read about the origins of Vegemite. I suppose it’s somewhat like SPAM in the US. We all agree it isn’t good, but it’s still on the shelves. I’ll eat some Vegemite if you eat some Spam? lol. Seriously though, what’s your favorite Aussie spirit? Is the selection mostly just cloned British tastes?
Aussie spirit? And I’m not from Britain 😜
Admittedly I’ve never visited Australia, but from my perspective the parts of the British empire, Canada included, while they have unique identities, acknowledge this collective empire influence as part of their culture. Is this not the case?
Kinda but we’ve also paved our own way
I mean, maybe you don’t want to have this conversation but I’m curious, (always curious about everything) what benefit do Australia and Canada get from being associated with GB? I’ve been traveling in Canada recently and I see a thriving population with vast natural resources and decent infrastructure. I imagine Australia is largely the same. Isn’t it about time to tell the empire to fuck off? 😁
