1Password will be a Nostr signing device one day.

first of all open source the code?

this brings up an interesting point. nostr support should be submitted to every password manager via a PR. sadly 1Password is not open source 😟

A closed source proprietary password manager is an absolute no go. Use keepass. Or one of its many many excellent open source cross-platform clients.

It's a thousand times more secure and more powerful than anything else out there. Just the facts..πŸ”‘

You can use it if they don't build support to native Nostr signing. Let's see who will do it first.

I never have and never will use closed source proprietary software or hardware for security.

This is the main reason I could never own an iPhone. Or a hardware wallet with a so-called secure element for security.

They all have back doors. To this day iPhone claims they don't. But they have had one from day one lol..πŸ€”

I agree with you. But let's see if they will actually implement.

I don't know if they will. But keepass has tons of plugins and code for that..πŸ™‚

Bitwarden is open source too right?

Ty! This seems to be the best for ease if onboarding and open source, imo

1Password has been my manager of choice for quite a while, it would be great if it could be a signing device.

I'm already storing my nsec in there anyway.

Bitwarden FTW

Who was it that recently built a password manager on nostr?

Thanks for the ping

1password has been hacked once already, why supporting them instead of any other (not already hacked) password manager?

Feel free to support any other. I just don't know anyone actually coding it. So, I will support when I see it.

Fair enough, I need to take the time to work on that (be it a password manager support or something else)

One day, we may not need 1Password

Hopefully Bitwarden /vaultwarden.

I'd prefer a physical device.
