For the cycling fans, here’s how power zone training looks like on iOS 17 Beta. Power meter is plugged in via Bluetooth to the watch and iPhone acts as a cycling computer. When you start the workout on the watch, a live activity automatically appears on the phone 🔥

what wattmeter cycling devices are compatible?

The ones with Bluetooth connectivity are compatible. No ANT+ connectivity

This looks super interesting. I have a specialized E bike, do you know if any of those integrate?

Does it connect via Bluetooth or ant+ ? If it does Bluetooth, you might be in luck. I say might because I haven’t seen a list of compatible devices but Apple said Bluetooth connectivity for power meters will be available. Not Ant+

I believe it is indeed Bluetooth!

Haven’t heard of ant+ so that’s great news.

Thanks!

Concept: Future Nostr bike event for charity. publicly post bike stats and energy in real-time to Nostr and trigger streaming sats to charity event wallet

Could be fun!

does it give any haptic feedback on the watch when changing zones? i use the Zones app specifically for that when trying to stay in zone 2

I didn’t see that during training. And I don’t see it either in the settings

Nice upgrade now I wish it would player nicer with trainjng apps like Wahoo.

I know: Wahoo app and Apple health don’t sync together… you need to use a workaround with Strava. Not the best
