Whether is is for 12 hours or 21 days, #fasting is one of the best practices I have found for strengthening the mind, body, and spirit. The best healing tool ever is to just do nothing, especially consuming nothing.

I have noticed that when people and animals are seriously injured, they naturally fast. Seems to put the body into the max healing state.

I have seen this also. I learn a lot by watching my dogs. Eating uses a lot of energy. I think fasting is the fastest way to heal.

I try to do one 24 hr fast a month and maybe a 3 day fast once a year. I think it helps your body decide to get rid of old cells or precancer cells. Going longerught be better but doesn't work well for me. I have come out of 3 day fast and only had liver and broth for another week. Felt super focused and likey head was really clear.

That's awesome. I don't have any plan of when or how I do them, but I find then hugely benificial to my health.

Apparantly the guy that wrote Huckleberry fin was big into fasting.

It is good for you, theres no doubt about that.

I don't have a hard rule either. Usually after a vacations or a holiday weekend I feel like I need to "reset". After quitting drinking as heavily and trying to stick to keto/Paleo/carnivore I feel less of a need to "reset".

I only eat twice max a day. Fasting for body. This reminds me. I need more fasting for my mind.
