In this cohort study of Canadian children, high ultra processed food consumption during early childhood was associated with obesity development, primarily in males. This highlights the importance of the increased availability and lower cost of minimally processed grab and go snacks and prepared meals to help busy, working parents provide more nutritious snacks and meals.
