On the one hand we have fiat money: that magic piece of paper that's worth because the government says so, backed by blind trust and... a mountain of unpayable debt.
Mandatory, of course. If you don't accept it, the State gets creative with fines, liens or imprisonment.
And let's not forget that every time you print more, your purchasing power suffers a little silent death.
But don't worry: it's legal, in other words, it's imposed on you for your own good.
On the other side is Monero: a rebel with a cause. Digital money that doesn't ask for your permission or chase you with an eternal record of your expenses. Its issuance requires real work, energy, machine sweat.
It's private, voluntary and, surprise, doesn't need a central bank to play Monopoly with your future.
Which one do I choose?
The one I'm not forced to use at the point of a gun.
