Tracking my browser? Thatβs a red flag π
Privacy is important. Nostr Nests does not track your IP address. You may use nostr:npub1us9uc0sjjg0vyvh7vefgu2a96hx5up5gujl6pqays65hlk4de6hsnwq4g0 from anywhere in the world and we won't know who you are or where you're from. The server does not log your IP address.
We do however track a few items surrounding your session. We track your browser, the Nest you joined, the referrer, and the emojis you used. These data points allow us to help make Nests better.
Browser - which browsers should we focus on supporting, fixing errors, etc.
Nest joined - Nest discovery, popular Nests to showcase on the homepage, our announcement bot, etc.
Referring website - integration and client tracking, support, etc.
Emoji - general emoji management, which ones to keep, which ones to nuke, etc. (You've sent 335,122 π - our most popular emoji.)

stop using Internet Explorer 4.0! π
There is zero reason to track my browser unless you want to sell ads. Tsk tsk tsk π
incorrect. i don't need to know what web browser you're using to insert advertisements. i just need to lower my moral standards.
we track browser usage because we want to know what web browser you're using so that developers know which browsers have errors or issues. this is fairly standard practice. for example, if 1/3 of our users started using shitbox browser v1.69, we'd work on adding support for it with our rewrite.
So Just trust me bro? π All website say they only do first party tracking but Eventually they all sell to third party to make money. Just a matter of time. But remember nowadays people have so many extensions and VPN to deter tracking, all the data you collected is useless anyways, except for data from the normie of normies π
you don't have to be negative all of the time. it must get exhausting always thinking everyone is out to get you.
βtrust me, broβ
Eventually, you gotta find a bro to trust, in some form - otherwise nothing gets done.
Donβt mind me I was just poking fun and trolling π
