Hey there, nostr community. I'm curious to know if anyone has experience using OpenBSD as their primary operating system. Currently, I'm using Linux Mint, but I'm contemplating the switch to OpenBSD. However, I'm concerned about potential usability issues and limited access to common applications. If anyone has any insight or experiences to share, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm also considering other options like ArchLinux or Gentoo, so any thoughts on those would be helpful too. Thanks!

I have gone through periods where openbsd was my daily driver. it is limited for software in some sense. you can usually find workarounds, like for example I used the bitwarden browser plugin since I couldn't install the app. virtualization is not very good, there's no vmware/virtualbox/kvm for it, at least when i used it. openbsd has its own virtualization feature but it was a bit hard to use and limited from what i remember. most of the apps i use a lot are available for it, it was only certain apps that didn't work, the only one i can't live without was bitwarden, the password manager and like i said the browser plugin works with firefox.
