Me and my coworkers joking that software engineers aren’t real engineers while using CAD software for design, spreadsheet software for engineering calcs, and communication software for our various meetings. Boy, that’s really something.

When I was in high school I did drafting I and II and our teacher was such a hardcore purist that before we learned CAD we had to do the math calculations by hand and then use an old school drafting table to plot and draw the things we would then do in CAD by hand
It was one of the best life experiences I’ve ever had
