Do our notes get deleted from relays after some time? I've scrolled down to the bottom of my profile and the oldest notes are from 2 months ago. What happened to the rest? 😥

I believe so, yes. I’d try backing up notes you care about yourself using your own relay. Mines currently offline (thanks to my idiot landlord) but I had been using it for a few months and was able to keep all my notes

Notes being ephemeral makes nostr so much more inferior to twitter 😥
It’s all a trade off - either you have to trust someone else to store your data and manage your profile correctly, or you need to pay someone else to, or you need to do it yourself. Nostr definitely trends towards the latter two options.
