I see a lot of Glock is the Toyota of handguns. No mentions of AK as the toyota of rifles. Why is this?

Considering the Hilux is the most common Tactical, the AK should have been fairly prominent.
(But knowing how much the 2A community loves it's squabbles...)

I know only a handful of ppl who shoot IPSC with ak platforms (except for saiga, but that's shotgun).
Mostly because it's unreliable and accuracy is questionable.
And moving charging handle adds up to recoil.
Mags are failing a lot.
That's what I was told. I don't own/compete with AK so it's mostly second hand info.
