A Supreme Court judge on Friday ordered the suspension of Elon Musk's X social media network in Brazil for failing to comply with an order to name a new legal representative for the company.

Access to the platform must now be blocked "throughout the Brazilian territory," the source said on condition of anonymity, confirming media reports citing the judge's ruling.

Anyone using a VPN to circumvent the court could be fined $8,800.
