The stigma behind "job hoppers" is ridiculous

ESPECIALLY if you are younger. For one, how are you supposed to find out what you like and don't like if you don't join the work force and try different positions in different Industries?

My definition of job hopping is like a few months and weeks of employment at several employers. All of which do not even span to a year at least.

But it if you have been done where anywhere from 1 to 3 years I just think that's over the top to see that as job hopping.

It's the only way you will get a pay rise in some companies. So it will likely become the norm with run away inflation.

yup. Do you think employers are easing up on the way they look at this?

No that's why I am self employed 😆

I think it has become a lot more accepted now but I know what you mean. I think they promote the stigma because job hopping drives cost for them, both in the disruption it causes and the higher salaries they end up having to pay because of it. I agree it's bullshit to see it as over the top if someone moves on after 1 to 3 years, if anything it shows you're either not prepared to pay them enough or give them enough opportunities.
