Been wanting to get this project live for a while!

Primus News aims to focus on news with two qualities:

1. Actionable: news that you can act on in your daily life, things that have a meaningful answer to the question "what can I do with this information?"

2. Direct from the source: when news comes directly from the primary source, you get the most accurate picture of the information, rather than getting a version that's been manipulated to fit a news agency's financial/ideological goals.

My aim is to source this news directly from the RSS feeds of the entity that's reporting it.

This is also a Progressive Web App, so it can be installed on your phone by:

iOS: tapping the share button in the browser and tapping "add to home screen"

Android: tapping the 3 dot menu and tapping "install"

One issue is that I don’t understand why you’ve chosen the feeds that you have. And the channel filter next to “all” isn’t grouped by any kind of category. Like “ford motor company” is in “product”. Shouldn’t they be “automotive”?

One idea is also to run articles through an AI like “Tell me 3 ways I can act on the information in this article”. Make that goal more transparent maybe

Great feedback, my next improvements are actually going to involve things like grouping the feeds into clear categories!

I recently gathered a bunch of rss feeds specifically for the airship / blimp industry. Straight from the company press releases is an awesome idea. Biggest issues I run into is

1. I don’t want to go to a specific place to only check one industry (your site could solve that niche issue)

2. The feed is often a bit noisy if you’re not extremely familiar with the specific industry. Unless you understand the industry niche, you’re not going to know how to act on the info. (AI could help with that)
