There are no jobs a smart watch does that my phone doesn't do. They are largely a fashion statement.
Thatโs my perception, and I am open to learning otherโs perspectives
Health monitoring.โฆ. and I don't think pebble will fill that gap for me the way garmin does ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Without a smartwatch, this level of health insights are really very difficult to achieve
I specifically got one three years ago, after no using one for almost a decade, for the health trackers - heart rate and ECG. I heavily use the heart rate monitor when running. Music controls, Messages, notifications and GPS are nice too.

I just want one that looks like the Dick Tracy watch. I would only use it for talking into like a walkie talkie. So everyone else would have to get one as well.

For me, a smartwatch helps with quick notifications, fitness tracking, and not having to pull out my phone constantly. Without it, Iโd rely on my phone for notifications, a regular watch for time, and a fitness tracker for health dataโbut having it all in one place is the real value. โก๏ธ๐ดโโ ๏ธ๐งก๐
