For my whole my whole house?

I hate wifi.

most of my devices are ethernet connected even if they have wifi.

speed reliability. Especially since I have a 1.6G/sec service.

Sometimes i plug my smartphone and tablets into ethernet too if im not walking around with them.

Better security too.

If you have a lot of devices and servers that need to be online 24/7, it makes sense to have a router.

For most people, phone hotspot would be enough.

I agree!

I assumed the target audience was nostr bitcoiners lol. my bad.

74 devices here and counting!

8 miners, 2 nodes included!

BTW, the hotspot is something I have been trying to get working during an internet outage with the home service.

I plugged in an ethernet to USB adapter to my switch (and then also my routher) and plugged my phone into that in an attempt to give my whole home internet from my mobile data plan.

The lights on the switch port turned on, and the lights on the adapter turned, but no matter which phone or tablet I used, the usb tether option was greyed out.

Wondering if its possible at all maybe with a more compatible adapter, for those once a year internet outages.

I have never tried hotspot via USB

thats the only way I do it when possible.

plugging a cheap wireless access point into the ethernet wan port worked for me
