I think the account is still on futurology.today, just banned from lemmy.ml where they had the Lemmy and AskLemmy threads I would have enjoyed

It's just out of curiosity, since it certainly seems to be so.
I think that bot is just promoting nostr and lightning. Certain users here really love lightning so they want to make sure everyone adds a lightning address to profiles (I'm neutral)
Hmmm, ok, it only gave me the equivalent of a fraction of a cent, but i gave it a temporary mail and a unique password so there's no real loss on either side.
Many accounts are indeed promoting lighting adresses, which is why i didn't know if it was a known scam
