The protocol's method of encryption is the advantage. You can read the github for the full details. The servers don't know what your messages are they just send them out. You can host your own smp & xftp servers to send your messages through them instead of simplex's or their partner's servers flux. Every chat you can choose incogneto which makes a random username for that chat.

Thanks, but does not 0xChat also use #p2p enryption such that intermediate nodes are not able to decrypt the content? Of course you can be identified by your pubkey. But still the message content is private. The advantage oft #SimpleX would be anonymous conversation instead of a pseudonymous one with #0xChat.
