I hate the phrase "everything has tradeoffs." Option A is shit, Option B is shit, and someone pops out of the woodwork, hoping yo sound profound, handwaving away that both options actually suck, but one (reluctantly) has to be picked.
"Everything has tradeoffs" is not a ringing endorsement of anything.
