In Spain right now there's a bit of a debate because the (literally) fascist party Vox is proposing tax cuts for an anywhere between 60 and 90 billion euros... without saying how to make up for them.
Their platform in fact is exactly the same as all the other Statist authoritarian parties - not only no cuts to the "social" budget, but "improvements" to pensions, benefits, government employees, military and so on.
On the other side of the same authoritarian antihuman coin, the "left" says exactly the same, just coming from the other side - more "social" budget, just don't ask us how exactly.
This craziness will continue until the boomer generation is in the grave and no longer important to win elections. The problem is the damage and destruction we will have to endure until then, which I am afraid will be largely irreparable.
The Boomers will demand not only pensions and free healthcare to the end of their days, but are instrumental in the wealth sink that is fighting the weather as they face their own mortality and are convinced the world is gonna burn when they’re gone.
We’re going to see some extremely authoritarian governments in the coming years as the pendulum swings violently side-to-side and few will do anything other than accelerate the descent into madness.
Bitcoiners need to take advantage of the portability of their wealth and get out before things get too mad.
If it was something else, this would be called a pyramid scheme.
