A friend of mine asked where I find the time to train in between demanding work life, family and leisure. I simply responded how could I not at the expense of my mental health and wellness, if not, there is no success in other aspects of my life.

I didn't feel like training today, but it's more than a feeling and more to do with discipline and making it a lifestyle.

Just do pushups, pullups or sit-ups whenever you have a few minutes to spare. You do not need and should not go to a gym. Go outside or open the window and enjoy fresh air and sun while you train.

why shouldn't someone to to the gym?

Typically is a waste of time. By the time I get there my session is finished at home with minimum investment in the essential equipment. Not to mention you waste a lot of time queuing for the equipment to become available there.
