I see his point but if they sent infantry into those fields to do recon they would've just gotten shelled. nobody is going to low crawl half a mile to avoid detection

there is really just nothing ukraine can do to displace the russian forces and retake the land. they would've been better off accepting that the land was lost and building their own defense in depth to try to keep what they still have
