Tough question to answer because the *actual* problem is the US federal govt having become much too massive and powerful. It should be up to local communities/govts to determine how outsiders are received into their space. Unfortunately the US govt now largely bans local control.
maybe new cases before SCOTUS would change that, I’ve noted a trend
