Physics idiot here: Why are magnifying glasses not working with phone cameras? I just saw some snail eggs in my aquarium, perfectly large in the mag. Held phone in front of mag to take picture, no luck. It was like the mag didn't do anything for what the phone saw #asknostr

You'll need to manually focus the camera.
Nevermind, I think it was because I held the phone closer to the mag as my eyes were.. 🙄
Anyway holding it at eye distance needs zooming in which also defeats the purpose of the mag 😄
TL;DR scroll on, my fault and I need a microscope
