Not one word of this made any sense to me. What the hell is a "professional email address"?
Discussion
Lets say you have JackSpirko.com
and you want jack@jackspirko.com to be your email address instead of something like jack@proton.com or jack@gmail.com....
This is what i mean by a professional email address.
So you need like the most basic web hosting you can buy and a client like outlook or thunderbird. That is your answer. Simply put it won't be free.
The other option is where ever you bought your domain will likely have a cheap or free option to create a forwarder for your email. Problem is then your replies will come from yahoo or proton or what ever.
Who did you buy you domain from? Do you have a website hosted there? If so you should have no problem creating an pop or imap email for what ever client you choose to use.
Also reread your post now with this info added. All it sounds like to me is they have a 2FA for security purposes to protect access to your domain.
SO EITHER DO IT and quick holding your breath or move it to another registar that doesn't care about your security more than you do. 🤷
You also don't have to be constrained by your domain name registrar.
You can also purchase web hosting (I'm a fan of Dreamhost) and you cna purchase email hosting (I use Fastmail) independently from your registrar.
That let's you not have all your eggs in one basket, and have providers that focus on specific products / functionality.
Setup is a bit trickier, but the are typically great guides available from those providers.
Just another idea...
How much is it? The email cost $26 for the year which was pretty cheap for me right now til I find alternative options. Honestly even spending ten bucks a month is too much right now til I find work. (Inbetween jobs)
I think that's much cheaper than Fastmail (although it depends on the plan you purchase of course). I've been with them for quite a while, so not sure what their current pricing is or any deals for new customers.
