Even a reformed Baptist can appreciate ye ol’ WCF.

1689er?

1644. But, much love for my 1689-ers.

Great article! Thanks. I love my particular baptist forefathers. And yeah, I fully admit Baptists cheated off the WCF to produce the 1689. Pascal Denault wrote The Distinctiveness of Baptist Covenant Theology which makes a good case for a clear line of demarcation between the One Covenant-Two Administrations formula of the WCF, and the progressively revealed and concluded or promise-fulfillment structure of the 1689. Their covenant theology explains the differences in their ecclesiology with their Presbyterian brothers and drove their practice of credobaptism.
