what if the spam relays and the paid relays are ran by the same people, with the spam there to get people to switch to the paid product?
They're not, but I love the idea. That would have been so smart. 😂

nostr wouldn't grow at all without the free relays, and if it died, then the paid relays would go out of business
Yeah, that's why we have two free relays.
