We should stop calling #bitcoin deflationary.
Discussion
a) It is technically incorrect. By design Bitcoin is getting less and less inflationary, i.e. it is asymptotically stable/conservative.
Deflation can only happen by human errors/boating accidents, which are decreasingly likely the more Bitcoin is valued by people.
b) It is opening up an angle of resistance because so many people have learned “deflation is bad”.
So let us call Bitcoin “stable”. This is closer to the truth and not loaded with biased prejudices.
E. g. also according to nostr:npub1s05p3ha7en49dv8429tkk07nnfa9pcwczkf5x5qrdraqshxdje9sq6eyhe prices in Bitcoin do not fall forever because Bitcoin itself is deflationary, but because Bitcoin is stable and _technological progress_ is deflationary.
