I got ousted from my Lutheran church (run by niggers) so it’s back to denomination drifting for me.

Sometimes I wish I wasn’t antisocial so I didn’t start fights with everyone.

What did you do?

Or, if it wasn't you, what did they do that finally pushed things over the limit?

Just typical nigger shit. The pastor wasn’t really giving anyone Christian guidance and when I would try to bring it up to him, it would always be a problem.

The parishioners were just me and 2 other black families who didn’t like me. He just wants to ride his little church into retirement and let it die quietly.

Gosh i wonder why the black families didn’t like you 🥴 #muted and gfy

Like I care. Have you ever contributed anything useful?

That sucks, but many churches are like that now.

Might I suggest checking out an Orthodox Christian church….? Greek, OCA..Russian.. Antiochian .. all very similar and you might find a … peace… there that I’ve yet to find in another place (and I’ve tried a lot of them).

I have serious issues with the praxis and theology of the Eastern Orthodox churches. I inquired at one point, but my convictions are thoroughly Protestant.

Moreover, there are none within 100 miles of me.

I'll probably attend the ACNA parish in the nearest city. Anglicans formularies allow for Lutheranism so it's the natural place to go.

If I did go to a tradition like that, I would go Oriental Orthodox. They're closer to the language of the Church Fathers and have a much more plausible theory of their own history.

Now that is a very interesting perspective and one I had not heard before. Thank you for sharing.

I did go to Protestant churches for a number of years. But they were far too inconsistent, too liberal (for me), anti Military (Episcopal in particular) and made light too much of the importance of the God Bearer (Mary) for my liking. That said you have to find your own journey towards the mysteries of God. And I wish you well on that..!

The Episcopal church is so liberal it's not even confessionally Christian lol. I don't blame you for fleeing that. If you aren't familiar with the denominational landscape you can easily find yourself in a radical far left congregation.

ACNA is more conservative and traditional. Mild use of iconography without violating the 2nd Commandment. Some of them have a high liturgy, but the Book of Common Prayer allows for a variety of styles. The one I would be going to is somewhere in the middle.

I fled the Episcopal church to pursue Orthodoxy

My father was raised Episcopal and my Mother Greek Orthodox. The more I spent time with the Orthodox Church the more I realized where I belonged.

Is this a location issue? I thought Lutherans were mostly White.

Yes
