When I left Twitter and invited my friends here, nobody followed. Everyone was already at Twitter and there’s no reason to leave. Even 2-5 friends going some place is not enough. You need a good sized group of people you can relate to in order to stick around.
Most people here have the orange reason in common so it’s easy to stick around. Others are just in it for nostr, and many both.
Influencers can also take place of groups.

Makes me think is there a way to reach people that have no friends on social platforms, or lurkers, or people who never used social media?
Because for me nostr was the first time I actually interacted with people on a social app, which made it such a great experience. I started here completely fresh knowing no one.
I've spoken to multiple people for whom nostr was also their first real social app usage 🤔
