Can someone wiser in #nostr please explain? I see all these accounts here for news, like #[1], #[2], #[3] (I'm sure many others I don't know about). What are they? I assume there are no humans behind it and comments or any reactions would be useless?

Most are RSS feeds that automatically post latest content. It’s there to surface topics so you have things to follow / be updated about and engage with (line a repost with comment)

I find them interesting when I want to know what’s going on; but recently unfollowed because it felt overwhelming (I was following all of them to make sure they work)
I may follow a few later again.
We had people say they wanted more news shared so I found a bunch of feeds to add thanks to nostr:npub18c556t7n8xa3df2q82rwxejfglw5przds7sqvefylzjh8tjne28qld0we7
