i wanted to bring a guitar, but the regular checked baggage is already expensive for me. so have been dreading the expense. but i was wondering if guitar cases are *special* & even more expensive than paying extra for regular checked baggage. and so you’re saying guitar cases ARE indeed at least twice more expensive than regular checked baggage?

depends how far you're going, and i'm assuming since you speak perfect english you live here in the USA.

just domestically, the bag charges are as follows for - united airlines anyway. each airline is different.

"domestic flights within the United States (UAL) are subject to the following checked bag fees: *First bag: $35.00 USD. The second bag is $45.00 USD. since it's international, odds are in their favor it will be more expensive than that.
