There is a wifi to ethernet adapter you can buy, if all else fails. Unless you have one of course.
I was chatting with whale last night and he had the suggestion of getting one of those ethernet over the 120V wires to get a connection into the house easily. I think that's the easiest thing to do, if I can't get my laptop to do what I want it to do.
