I needed consequences to get sober. That meant asphyxiating on my own vomit and needing CPR from my room mate. I’ll be sober 5 years in July god willing. Someone else quite literally gave me another chance to breathe and make a different choice. Sometimes an OD is the consequence someone needs to change their life.
