The first versions of channels couldn't have their fees bumped. If you didn't set a fee high enough, your channel could get stuck for ages.

Anchor channels are a more complicated way to open channels. They create extra transactions that aren't multisig and can be bumped with a CPFP transaction.

So, if you fsck up and use to low a fee, you can fix it.
