Nowadays I find myself using two Lightning wallets; custodial for receiving since I need always-on infrastructure for receiving Nostr zaps and opportunistic receives to an LNAddress, and non-custodial for holding the majority of my sats and making payments from. Every so often I send the balance of the former to the latter.

It would be nice to have a Wallet that handled both, and auto transferred from the custodial service to the non-custodial channel with my wallet's node when opening the wallet and its node going online.

Or you fire up a cheap VPS + domain, install LNbits on it and connect it to your own node or a Voltage node. Now you are uncle Jim and you can create custodial wallets + LNAdresses for your friends and family.

But I don't want to custody anyone else's funds or manage Lightning infrastructure for them. That's far too much liability and potentially classifies me as a MSB.

Nice idea. An app that contains an entire ladder of technologies, and automatically walks up your wealth from the lower rungs of the ladder to the higher rungs.
