Indian workers used to operate ropes tied to ceiling fans with their feet in the homes of their (masters), whether British colonizers or maharajas.

This task was usually carried out by men who were deaf and mute, so they wouldn’t hear the conversations of the household members.

The British were the first to invent this method to cope with the unbearable summer heat.
