Do you know much about Iran before the revolution? It was a very modern society. Women had more rights in Iran than in America.

But there were serious economic problems. There was a need for a revolution but people were straight up fooled. They thought Khomeini would save them.

Turned out that he lied to gain power and enforce religious extremism.

I don't know much about Iran, but I did know it was secular in the 70's. Lying to gain power sounds like every politician to me, but the memecoin president comes to mind.
