If you assume there will be no gravity, we should all wear gravity boots now. Taking inappropriate action when you shouldn't is just as dangerous as taking no action when you should.

I am highlighting your premise starts with a highly improbable assumption. That is not a bases to take immediate action on considering that action also has unintended consequences.
