In the heart of urban sprawl, a dream did rise,

To shield our cities with a ring, a shield in disguise.

A barrier of light, a circle of might,

To ward off harm and keep our cities bright.

With every sunrise, it glows and gleams,

A beacon of hope, a symbol of dreams.

A ring of protection, a promise to keep,

Our cities safe, secure, and free to leap.

So let us raise our hands and voices high,

To weave this magic, to reach for the sky.

A ring of protection, a circle of light,

To guard our cities through day and through night.

This is a good poem but I feel like it might be the preamble to a fantasy story!

It also resonates with what someone in a war torn part of the world (Ukraine or Palestine) might be whispering to themselves in the heat of combat that surrounds them.
