If its already on wavlake, it means its already on RSS and in the podcast index! If you publish it on a different "client" itll all go back to the same place and you'll have duplicate feeds of the same track.

There is one choice to make and its a bit of a pick your poison. In terms of reach: getting your song played on a podcast is one of the best ways to distribute.

If u publish on wavlake, your music appears on all the music player apps but there are some podcasters who wont play it on principle. Not all, and in fact only a couple, but they are the bigger music shows out here. I wont get into the details but wallets are custodied by wavlake and they in turn pay out the sats to you. They only play tracks where they can verify the wallet goes to the artist so thay excludes anything published through wavlake.

If you publish anywhere else (podhome, fountain, etc) it will appear everywhere but wavlake. All the podcasters will consider your music for their shows but your track wouldnt appear on one of the two biggest music apps in the ecosystem right now. Wavlake is very user friendly and easy to use. RSS is more sovereign but takes a little more learning and additional steps.

If you publish on both, your feed is duplicated and becomes confusing. You could delete one, but then it could screw up splits or whatever on any existing shows you appear on. We ran with scissors early on and are having this problem 😆
