I think especially developing countries with a history of inflation / rapid cycle of money reforms and / or instable governments (hah, when have you last seen a stable government anywhere?) can profit from an adoption of bitcoin... it gives the businesses and population stability without tying to a foreign currency like the Dollar or Euro.
