Tried one of these for the first time just the other day, and they are delicious! Nice haul! #zapped

Thank you brother πŸ’œπŸ’œ Blackcurrants are even better, one of the better berries out there in my opinion 🫢

What fo you do with it? We have too much of it and don't really know how to process them. Ihave been even thinking about making them into a wine.

Freeze them and use them in smoothies. Make juice out of it. Put it on cakes.

Lots to do with them πŸ’œ

I do all of that, but eventually I get sick of it all. We have like 8 bushes of it.

Trade them with somebody who doesn’t have them for something that you don’t have 🫑

Nobody in my small social bubble wants them, not even for free no strings attached.

And selling individually is too much hassle for too little.

A good idea nonetheless, if only I weren't so socially isolated.

I would be more than happy to get some, this year ine of my bushes died, the other one had nearly no fruits. I saw that my neighbour's plant had the same problem

It's a shame you are likely literally on the other side of the planet. I would be so happy to get rid of (a part of) it and make someone happy in the process.

Pity, do some wine/alkohol with it! You need a lot of fruis for it, and its very tasty

That is what I am likely going to do. Plus regular wine with grapes later this year. Also more than we can process in other ways.

Not much of a drinker, but I do remember it was fun, when we used to do this with plumes back at boarding school.

Sounds fantastic! 😍

I usually freeze some (to add on fall/winter time to sauces) to bake cakes. You can do jam, chutney, juice, wine and liqueur

I have exact same project coming up πŸ’•

enjoy it brother πŸ’œ
