Mic seems to depend, 2nd gen airpods sound like absolute dogshit.
Had my pros replaced for free a few months back, mic sounds much better.

Then I’m surprised that Apple actually released the first gen with such a shite mic. Usually they’re on a better standard than that.
Yep, I got then replaced, too. The mic is not good and they needed to downgrade the algo after one year of the initial launch (some IP dispute). The software “update” made them unusable for outdoor calls. They pick more ambient sounds that your voice.
